Photography by me

As we reach the end of the month of September I am reminded of how time just keeps slipping away and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. This year has not been easy, after graduation I didn't really have a plan. It was just a "let's go with the flow kinda plan." Unfortunately, the flow was not what I expected. I actually had a talk with my bro about this, there I was feeling down about how unproductive this year has been for me but then he pointed out some of the things I accomplished and it made me realize just how important it is to surround yourself with people that support you.

I will say I have learnt so much about myself and future aspiration this year. I may not be satisfied with my accomplishments thus far but life's experiences are the best teacher and I'm thankful that I know what I know now as this is only shaping me to be who God has destined me to be. I am very positive about the future as Ive always felt that something amazing is coming my way and I just can't wait to see it all unfold.

At this time I would like to say thank you to all of you who visit my blog, this year had me slacking in my consistency but without this blog I don't know what I would have done. Yes the pressure to keep this blog running gets to me at times but this is only just the beginning so stick around guys and thanks once again.

This is the part two of my to how style high-waist pants posts here. I actually took these pictures months back but thought I lost them. I decided to take this look from the day time to night.
Which look do you prefer?

Today I'm thankful to be celebrating 21 years of God's awesomeness.  While this year has not been the most accomplishing so far I am thankful for life as "when there is life there is hope". I'll be sharing 21 lessons learnt so stay tuned guys!

If I had to pick a closet item I can't live without, it would have to be my kimonos. Although I only own two pairs, I've found various ways to rock them. For the most part, I like to style my kimonos with a tank top and jeans but when I'm trying to glam up for the blog, I like to style my kimono as a top or belt it over bottoms. I can't wait to show you guys more outfits with this versatile piece.

What is your favourite look and how do you like to rock your kimono?
For me inspiration on rocking kimonos check out this article on BellaNaija

"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed"
(2 Corinthians 4:8-10 ESV)

I want you to take a moment and think of the greatest testimonies of God's awesomeness in your life and that of other people, healing from incurable illnesses and even deliverance from frustrating situations.  You'll see that "God's almightyness shows forth in our moments of weakness and desperation."
(Dr. Paul Enenche)

Which makes me wonder, how less stressful would life be if we made God out first and only option?

My go-to fit for casual days is something like this, sneakers styled with high-waist trousers or skirts like this look here. This outfit is also a simple way to dress down a hat.

Hey people so we're back with the part two of this collaboration but this time we're rocking Ankara clothing.  Sadly I don't own many Ankara pieces due to unfaithful tailors but now that I'm back I hope to find a good tailor or learn the art of sewing for myself. My aunt actually made this skirt for me and you might recognize this fabric from my flared skirt and peplum top outfit.

Do you ever feel like you know someone after following them for a while? Well, I not only feel like I know these bloggers but I Also consider them to be friends in my head and Tuke of Tukesquest and Grace of MyStyleDiary are some of my blogger friends in my head. Now let me just add that you can't really know someone based solely off of the internet since we only put out our best for the world to see.

So Tuke came to Abuja recently and we decided to do a collaboration. The theme was bold colours and prints but aside for my outfit here and here, I don't really do prints so I just reached for these culottes previously styled here and then added an ankara head-wrap like I did in this outfit.

It was a great seeing Grace again after this event and meeting Tuke in person,  we had so much fun.
Doesn't it look like we've been friends for forever though?

You've gotta love fashion,  I mean ladies rocking agbada? Who would have thought? For those of my international readers agbada is a Nigerian traditional attire which is usually worn by men but as you can see from the above pictures ladies have taken over. While this is a trend I'm definitely loving, I don't see myself rocking. But if I were to try, I would probably go with something a bit more modern like Grace of My StyleDairy's look or Cassey Bassey last look.

Would you rock this trend? Also how do you call this attire in your language or country?
