Hey guys!
Remember when I shared my thoughts on this year and also how I've been waiting for my NYSC. Well the results are out, I will be moving to Cross River State for about a year. While I wish I could have stayed here in Abuja with my family, I am looking forward to visiting another part of Nigeria. Abuja, Benue state and Lagos (well if you count the airport) are the only other parts of Nigeria that I've visited so this should be fun, I hope. I prayed for God's will so I am going to stick with it because life is so much easier when you follow his plan. Who knows maybe I'll find bae but you guys already know my thoughts on dating.

This outfit was actually supposed to be for the how would you wear challenge but I kinda forgot to send in my submission (covers face). You can check out the collaboration on Diane's blog to see some of my recreated outfits. Today I just restyled my culottes which were previously styled here and here. I paired it with a striped top and then added my red Zara sandals for a pop of colour.

Do you guys have any words of advice for me? Also, shout-out to Grace and Tuke for all their help, remember our collaboration here?
Blog posts will resume in December but you can follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
See you all soon!

I'M MOVING!

When it comes to fashion blogging I've never really felt the need to blog my casual outfits since most of the time they are simple.  Also I feel that outfits that are dressier or styled with heels leave more of a bang but today I thought I'd just share my everyday kinda outfit. I previously styled this denim skirt here but this time I just paired it with a chambray shirt.

Denim on denim or the Canadian tuxedo has been around for a while now and it's quite easy to pull off. Does anyone know why it is called a Canadian tuxedo though? Anyways, when pulling of this trend don't be afraid to add a pop of colour like I did with my lipstick or heels in this look. Also try pairing different shades or washes of denim as it creates a nice contrast and balance.

When running around I like to keep things basic in sneakers rather than heels. Because contrary to popular belief I don't wear heels everyday and I don't know how to drive, talk less of having a car. For more inspiration on how to style sneakers check out these posts here, here and here.

While it's getting colder in other parts of the world, in Nigeria it is slowly getting hotter. This means it's time to get out those hats and less restricting clothes. I received this hat from Dresslink, a Chinese online store that I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with. While the hat was not what I had expected, it is perfect for the hot Abuja sun and the stripes really pop with the cobalt blue maxi-dress previously styled here.

Since I got the hat shipped to me while in Thailand, I can't say anything about their shipping to Nigeria but they do ship worldwide. Buiti's review should be helpful for all my Naija based readers. You can get the hat here if interested. Also if you missed my travel post on Thailand be sure to check it out.

How would you style this hat?

Every time I get on the net or scroll through my Instagram feed I ask myself "where is our generation going to?" When did nudity become a fashion statement or mean you're taking a stand? What happened to women being encouraged to dress modestly? I keep seeing celebrities posing nude and saying they are standing against body shaming and bullying. Why do they have to do it naked? Why can't we women take pride in our bodies by covering them? When did it become okay to walk around with your breast out for all to see? I sometimes wonder why some people even bother wearing clothes. God created clothes for covering but these days it seems that people would rather be naked. Please understand that I am not judging, this is just the cold hard truth.

When will this generation learn? When will we women learn that dressing that way only attracts the wrong kind of attention? Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? Comments on your body may be nice but they are empty and meaningless. I mean what respectable man goes round telling random women nice butt or breasts and why would you seek after words like that from strangers. Beware of any guy who only talks about the way you look and neglects your mind and character. May God help us all to see the truth and embrace it.

Hey guys so I'm back with the part two of my how to style culottes post, be sure to check out part one if you missed it. When styling these shorts this time around I just swapped the sheer blouse for a white vintage vest. I then cinched in my waist with a statement belt and I was good to go. Don't you just love how a quick change of items can transform a look? It really is all about the basic essentials when it comes to styling and this look is no exception. It seems it's been a while since I did a work inspired outfit so here you go.

Hey guys, so I was looking through my  drafts and realized this post never went up.
So I spent a few months in Malabo Equatorial Guinea at the beginning of the year due to my dad's work. This place is a small city located in Central Africa.  The population is about 187,000 and the official language is Spanish. Fish and petroleum are some of their exports. The markets are heavily saturated with Nigerian business traders as well. I ate so much plantain as they have it in abundance. While I found Malabo to be quite dull I'm glad I had the chance to explore a new place.

Hey guys, long time no post, I know. Lately my focus on blogging has been dwindling. The demands of running a blog in this part of the world have finally gotten to me and I've decided to step back a bit. While I don't want my consistency to drop I believe this is the best thing for me now. So from now on I will be posting only one outfit post a week and something else if I'm inspired. For now, I can't say what day the posts will be coming but I will let you know once I work it out.

Anyways I recently thrifted this pair of culottes and thought why not show two ways of styling this versatile piece. This time I went with a sheer black oversize blouse which was thrifted as well. My mom thinks I should stop thrifting but hey I'm not exactly rich plus I keep finding all these unique items so sorry mom I won't be stopping anytime soon. I just love the relaxed feel of this outfit, I wore this to church last week and I love that it makes me look smaller than I actually am. Just a quick tip, black and slightly oversize clothing is a great way to look a lot thinner than you actually are.

Stay tuned for part two
