I've never really spent much time on Konga but when Dleonalife mentioned that they were having a 5K Sale on shoes, I knew I had to check it out. Their boots collection is amazing but these leopard print babies caught my eyes

As simple tip when putting together an outfit is to go for wardrobe basics and then use accessories to spice up the look. A person's style and personality is usually evident in the type of accessories they are drawn to. This is your guide to eight quick ways to spice up an otherwise simple or basic outfit.
Click on the captions below the pictures for the full outfit.

1. Jewelry
You can't go wrong with some bangles, earrings, rings or a statement necklace.

necklace, jewelry,

2. A Bomb Pair of Shoes
One can never have enough pairs of shoes but with statement shoes, you don't really need more. So invest in a great pair of shoes, this is my statement pair as you've probably noticed.

booties, lace-up, heels

3. Statement Belt
Sometimes all you need is that one belt to take your outfit to the next level and Melissa does an amazing job with this.

statement belt, metallics

 4. A Pop of Colour
A little punch of colour just adds an amazing contrast to a look. I like to add pops of colour with my shoes or bags.

5. A Scarf

6. Makeup and Hair
Fashion is from head-to-toe which is why makeup and hair is crucial. Now if you're like me who can't really be bothered with makeup, then a good (fleek) eyebrow and bold lip will do just the trick.

7. A Touch of Denim
I don't know about you but I just love the edgy feel that a denim/chambray shirt adds to an outfit.

8. A Head-wrap
Head-wraps are not only great for bad hair days but are also perfect for finishing up a look. Check out this head-wrap tutorial here.

How do you like to spice up your outfits?

I was contacted by Dresslink to choose an item with a specified budget. Their item selection is very diverse and quite affordable. Although I've never shopped there prior to this collaboration, I am familiar with a lot of these items as I used to live in Thailand. I recently got the second hat in black and I have seen a lot of these items in passing. Just a tip, be sure to go up a size as they use Asian sizes. If your looking for a place to get affordable items check out this website.

So what item do you think I got?

Remember this wall?
In my earlier days of blogging this was my go-to spot for blog pictures. It may not have been the best place but it was good enough and always worked. It wasn't until I changed locations that my photo quality really improved and I think that's how life is at times. We sometimes get comfortable in certain situations that we accept mediocrity. Afraid to try new things because we're either scared or lazy but the truth is we will never really know or reach our potential until we step out of our comfort zone.

"Show me someone who has never failed and I'll show you someone who has never tried." (Unknown)

Now onto the outfit, this skirt was previously styled herehere and here. This time around I  decided to play it safe by going with different shades of pink. This would work great for the office or church, don't you think?

Hey guys, better late than never right?

I'm not one to wear jumpsuits as I often have bad luck finding the right fit but this Khaki Jumpsuit from TNL just speaks to me. And how great would it look styled with these Leopard print heels from the previous Item of The Week. Maybe it's time I created a wishlist of my favourite items on their site as they seems to be one of my favourite Nigerian online shops.

When it comes to fashion blogging, the easier part is putting outfits together and taking pictures. But the hardest part is finding something meaningful to say a long with each post. With that being said, I'm having a huge brain fart hence I am having difficulty creating meaningful texts like I did in the following posts:

Leave a comment down below, if you have anything that you would like me to talk about.

Now for the outfit, I decided to go for a smart casual look with my boyfriend blazer and blue jeans. I love how the pink accents make this look more interesting. This outfit is a recreation of this look here.

It's amazing how time flies. For those of who don't know I am visiting Thailand for a couple weeks and its weird how everything is so different yet still the same.

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven"
(Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV)

So the theme for this month's challenge was jumpsuits. And as I mentioned in this post, I always have difficulty finding the perfect fit for jumpsuits, hence I don't own a pair. However, I was determined not to miss out on the challenge this time around hence I brought out my pleated culottes, paired it with my black off-shoulder top and added a gold metal plate belt to tie everything together. I also opted for a pop of colour with my shoes (previously styled here) and my purse.

As creative as one can be there are certain times when the creative juices just won't flow. In situations like these it's easier to work with wardrobe basics and play up your accessories. This red midi-skirt (styled here, here and here) is absolutely one of my favourite vintage skirts and this time I simply paired it with a black top. Now to spice up the outfit I went for a statement necklace which is not really my thing and then my lace-up booties. Just a little tip, a good pair of shoes can change up an outfit so invest in one. Another way to add a little something extra to this outfit would have been to go with a turban like I've done in the past here and here

How do you like to spice up your outfits?

If you follow me on my social media pages (Instagram/Facebook) then you would know I'm currently visiting Thailand. This is why I've been a bit quiet here but I'll explain more in upcoming posts and yes I am snapping like crazy.

If money grew on trees, my search for the perfect pair of leopard print heels would be over (sigh, we must get there soon). I'm not even going to ask if I should buy or drop because I honestly can't afford it yet but I will keep admiring.
Anyways if you decide to get me these shoes God will bless you.

Have you ever been around someone who just complains about everything? They are so negative that it even gets to you at times. Of course complaining  from time to time is inevitable but it really doesn't achieve anything. Life is already hard so why make it more difficult by being a pessimist.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength" (Proverbs 17;22 NLT)

On that note I encourage everyone to read the bible book of Proverbs no matter your religion or belief. This book is one of my favourites in the bible as it offers so much practical wisdom.

Now for the outfit, I've been on the hunt for a pair of high-waist pants for a while now and I when I found this pair chilling in the thrift store I just had to have it. Since the outfit is quite simple, I played up the accessories. Adding a brown belt for a vintage feel and a scarf for a pop of print and colour, it's such a beautiful scarf these photos don't do it justice.  I'm really feeling the Parisian scarf look featured (herehere and here). To change up this outfit I opted for a kimono which is my go-to outwear, see how I've styled it in the past here and here

As Buiti said, tights will never be pants no matter how much you want them to be so why not try jeggings. Stay tuned for part two.
